CHARACTERISTICS: Leonardo is an extra virgin olive oil obtained from the skilful blend of the best varieties of local olives. Leonardo is born from the milling of olives harvested by hand at the right ripeness stage and processed within 3 hours to avoid altering its aroma, nutritional properties and organoleptic quality. The careful selection of the raw material combines quality and tradition and the experience of the olive oil experts who, through mechanical processes and cold extraction, create an excellent quality extra virgin olive oil.

REGION: Abruzzo, raw material and production, at about 370 MASL

HAVESTING PERIOD: the first 10 days of October

MILLING AND EXTRACTION PROCESS: continuous milling cycle, cold extraction

VARIETY SELECTION: Dritta 60%, Leccino 20%, Castiglionese 10%, Leccio del corno 10%

SENSORY EVALUATION: Medium fruity with hints of fresh grass and almond, medium bitter and spicy. Aftertaste of fresh almond, artichoke, herbs.

IDEAL FOR: soups and pureed soups, grilled meat, roasts, fish from the Adriatic coast, grilled fish, cooked vegetables, vegetable salads
